Accession Talks with NATO - First Round
Slovenia and NATO Kicked off Accession negotiations
Representatives of NATO and Slovenia met in Brussels at the first
of the two planned rounds of accession negotiations, which are part of
the wider accession process. Slovenia was invited to NATO at the last
summit in Prague in November 2002 and is expected to become part of
the military alliance in May 2004.
