Slovenia's contribution to peace support missions
Slovenia has increased the presence of military forces in
guaranteeing regional security, with an additional platoon of the
Slovene Army within SFOR in BiH. There are 134 members of the Slovene
Army (SV) and police involved in peace support operations, and this
year the number will be increased to 225. The SV performs tasks in
peace support operations extremely professionally. Slovenia cooperates
in peace operations for the sake of its own security interest and out
of solidarity in guaranteeing stability and security in the Balkans
and in the world.
