The expenses for participation of police in peacekeeping operations
Slovene Police used 250,8 million SIT for participation in
peacekeeping operations in the year 2001. The largest part of this sum
was used for the work of policemen in the UNMIK Mission in Kosovo,
where we have 15 officers working in he CIVPOL and 4 policemen in the
OSCE KPSS.
In the year 2002 we shall need 295,2 million SIT for these purposes
and 358,5 million SIT in the year 2003. The increase of expenses in
2002 is due to the increase of numbers of policemen in the OSCE SMMS
Mission in Macedonia and in the OSCE KPSS in Kosovo during the second
half of the year 2001, whereas the increase in 2003 is due to
announced beginning of participation of 6 policemen in the new Mission
EUPM in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
