November 2002 - Within the framework of Partnership for Peace, Slovenia organises every November a one- to two-day conference on protection against operational explosive devices. The purpose of the conference is to exchange experiences and new knowledge in this field. This year's conference will be the eighth of its kind.

From 3 - 7 June 2002, Slovenia organised the Regional Seminar on Civil Emergency Planning and Civil Military Cooperation. It was held at the Centre for Defence Training in Poljce pri Begunjah. It was attended by over 60 representatives from 12 countries.

From 7 - 18 May 2001, a course was organised, at the Training Centre for Protection and Rescue, on international humanitarian actions. It was prepared, within the framework of Partnership for Peace by, jointly the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Protection and Disaster Relief and the Swedish Rescue Service Agency. The course was attended by 25 participants from 18 countries.
