Courses, seminars and conferences
November 2002 - Within the framework of Partnership for
Peace, Slovenia organises every November a one- to two-day conference
on protection against operational explosive devices. The purpose of
the conference is to exchange experiences and new knowledge in this
field. This year's conference will be the eighth of its kind.
From 3 - 7 June 2002, Slovenia organised the Regional
Seminar on Civil Emergency Planning and Civil Military Cooperation. It
was held at the Centre for Defence Training in Poljce pri Begunjah. It
was attended by over 60 representatives from 12 countries.
From 7 - 18 May 2001, a course was organised, at the
Training Centre for Protection and Rescue, on international
humanitarian actions. It was prepared, within the framework of
Partnership for Peace by, jointly the Administration of the Republic
of Slovenia for Protection and Disaster Relief and the Swedish Rescue
Service Agency. The course was attended by 25 participants from 18
countries.
Slovene representatives regularly participate also in courses in
the field of civil emergency planning and civil military cooperation
as well as in courses on international rescue and humanitarian
missions.
