Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Unit (EADRU)
During his visit to Slovenia in April 2002, a representative of the
Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Centre expressed a big interest of the
NATO Alliance for Slovene rescue units to participate in joint
international rescue and humanitarian missions. The Administration of
the Republic of Slovenia for Protection and Disaster Relief offered,
for participation in the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Unit, the
Mobile Unit Environmental Laboratory, which is the national unit
responsible for responding during disasters with hazardous
substances. The Unit has already successfully participated in several
international exercises.
